What is underneath it
Roof, pool, wall, washing line, powerline, neighbour's shed. This decides whether the tree can be dropped or has to be rigged down, which is the single biggest factor in the price.

How we get in
Can a bakkie and chipper trailer reach the tree, or does everything have to be carried through the house? Gate widths and steep driveways are worth mentioning.

What you want left
Timber cut for firewood and stacked, chips left as mulch, or everything gone. Say so up front and it will be in the quote instead of a surprise afterwards.
